What’s a Random Access Brain?
You see something that interests you, so you look it up. Wikipedia, maybe, or a web search. You see a related link that’s also interesting, so you follow that. And then another, and then another again. Pretty soon you’re on the side of a highway in an unknown location, wearing a full set of authentic Roman infantry dress circa 330 BCE while holding a porcupine in one hand and a pogo stick in the other, with no memory of how any of that happened.
Ahem. Metaphorically speaking.
And that, my friend, is a random access brain. We’ve both got ‘em, and this podcast is about exploring all those twisty paths and avenues. Join us for what’s sure to be an entertaining ride.
About Sam
Sam Falco is a wood worker, writer, musician, former actor, comic book nerd, historian, roleplaying game aficionado, raconteur, and all-around knowledge sponge. He has worked in information technology since 1999 and holds degrees in History and English from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida, with his wife of 24+ years and three spoiled cats.
About Dan
Dan is a wanderer and a specializing generalist. Interests include software development, business, running, biking, swimming, and acting. He was using computers since around 1983, and followed that passion his entire career, first as a computer science major, then software developer, project manager, scrum master, and agile coach. His business ventures included a coworking space that mercifully closed ahead of COVID, which would have killed it. Dan lives in Indiana, but considers his growing up “mostly in Michigan.” He’s been married forever and has a child he’s quite proud of.
